As an energy leader, Milovan Blair has dedicated his career to maintaining reliable and secure power grids. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board at Northeast Power Coordinating Council, Inc. (NPCC) and is the Senior Vice President of central operations at Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison).
NPCC is a not-for-profit corporation located in New York responsible for promoting and improving the reliability of the interconnected bulk power system in Northeastern North America.
Maintaining a reliable and secure power grid for Northeastern North America presents many challenges, including cyber security, the proliferation and integration of renewables on the grid, and extreme weather conditions. To help prepare for these difficulties and transition to greener power sources, Blair emphasizes the importance of engaging stakeholders so they are educated on all aspects of what is happening. In addition, he stresses the significance of having all standards and requirements available to make certain the system remains reliable.
Leadership is a key aspect of Blair’s NPCC and Con Edison roles. He strives to provide the best service to customers and the community. As the grid’s demand grows, he encourages people to remain educated on what is driving the change behind policies and technology and to know how these changes will affect their future.
