— Sandy Liu, board treasurer of Forest Hills Asian Association, was featured on Innovator’s Journey to raise awareness of mental health and the importance of community. From her own struggles and learning, Ms. Liu founded the Aging Mental Health and Awareness Group on Facebook. The group focuses on the challenges of aging, especially with mental illness. In addition to her support group, Ms. Liu advocates for building community support. She believes that volunteering is a great way to be active in the community and connect with others. Through her work, Ms. Liu hopes to make a positive impact on others struggling with their mental health.
